Price and calculator
How do I calculate the fare?
Enter the pickup address and destination and choose both from the list of suggestions. With «Calculate fare», the calculator measures the road distance and shows the price for your number of passengers.
What does the price depend on?
On the measured route, the number of travellers and the luggage. From five bags, a surcharge is added. Extras such as Meet & Greet or child seats cost a surcharge, which you see when you select them.
Why do I have to choose the address from the list?
Only with an address from the list does the calculator know the exact location and can measure the route. Freely typed text does not give a price.
What happens if the route planner does not respond?
Then the calculator estimates the distance as the crow flies and tells you so openly. You can try again later.
Booking and date
Can I book a ride for right now?
Online, you only book in advance with a date and time. If you need a ride right now, please call us on 040 9999 0057.
Which time should I enter?
The time at which you would like to be picked up. For a pickup at the airport, allow for the time after landing to leave the aircraft and collect your luggage.
What is the flight number field for?
For a pickup at the airport, you can enter your flight number if you wish. It is passed on with your booking to the partner company carrying out the ride.
Can I book outward and return rides?
Yes, as two separate rides: once via the «To the airport» tab and once via «From the airport».
Passengers and luggage
How many people can I book for online?
The standard calculator covers up to 4 people. The group calculator on the minivan page covers 5 to 28 people. For larger groups, send us an enquiry.
Which vehicle classes are there?
ECO Standard for up to 3 people, MPV for 4, ECO XL for 5 to 6, Prem-XXL for 7 and 9-Seater for 8 people. From 9 people, several minivans are used. The calculator chooses the class based on the number of passengers.
How much luggage can I take?
In the calculator, you can select up to 8 bags, and for groups up to 8 per vehicle. From five bags, a surcharge is added. Write bulky items in the notes for the ride.
Child seats and Meet & Greet
Can I book a child seat?
Yes, in the booking step «Date & extras»: one child seat for 0 to 4 years and one for 4 to 12 years. The surcharge is shown next to it.
What is Meet & Greet?
A welcome with a name sign when you are picked up at the airport. You book it as an extra to your ride.
Payment and invoice
How do I pay?
When you book online, you pay a deposit of 25 % of the fare by card. You pay the rest to the driver.
Will I receive an invoice?
After paying the deposit by card, you can download an invoice. You enter your company name and VAT identification number on the payment page.
Ride arrangement and languages
Who will drive me?
Taxi Airport Hamburg arranges your ride. The ride itself is carried out by an independent taxi or transfer company from our partner network.
In which languages can I book?
The website and booking are available in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Russian.
Is Taxi Airport Hamburg a service of the airport?
No. Taxi Airport Hamburg is an independent agency arranging rides to and from Hamburg Airport.
